Die Einführung einer neuen Methode wie die der Dopplersonographie (DS) in die Klinik läuft aus wissenschaftlicher Sicht optimalerweise in 3 Schritten ab:

  1. 1.

    Zunächst muss sichergestellt werden, dass eine klinisch interessierende Messung wie das Blutströmungsverhalten im fetomaternalen Gefäßsystem mit einer geeigneten Messmethode (Dopplersonographie) überprüft werden kann (Fitzgerald u. Drumm 1977; McCallum et al. 1978).
