Die wissenschaft liche Grundlagenforschung zur Akupunktur, die seit 1975 in über 500 Arbeiten publiziert ist, wird kurz zusammengefasst. Nur wenige Publikationen [18, 19] chinesische Grundlagenforscher werden berücksichtigt, da sie erst in den letzten Jahren in englischer Sprache zugänglich sind.
