Abstract

Isometric subgraphs of hypercubes, or ‘partial cubes’, were first studied by Graham and Pollak (1971) in connection with modeling communication networks. Partial cubes are graphs that are isometrically embeddable into hypercubes (Imrich and Klavžar, 2000). We use partial cubes in our studies of structural properties of wg-families of sets and media. In particular, we characterize mediatic graphs as partial cubes.
