Transcutaneous Facelift

  • Chapter
Simplified Facial Rejuvenation

Abstract

Facelifting has undergone considerable changes in technique recently with a trend towards the simpler ones over the radical ones. The idea is to have a simpler, safer and certainly a procedure whose results might be nicer. Some examples are S-lift, delta-lift, lower superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS)-platysma facelift and facial lifting with APTOS threads [1–6]. Transcutaneous facelift (TCFL) is one of the simplest of all known facelift techniques. It is suitable for individuals requiring a moderate to mild facelift. The idea of this procedure came to us when we saw the satisfactory results obtained with the percutaneous approach to eyebrow lift, recently published [7].7
