Zusammenfassung
In Deutschland rauchen über 30% der Bevölkerung regelmäßig. Während bei Männern in den letzten Jahren das Rauchverhalten langsam rückläufig war, ist bei den Frauen noch eine Zunahme des Tabakrauchens zu verzeichnen (Tabelle 1). Bei Jugendlichen istes über Jahrzehnte zu einer Abnahme des Eintrittsalters in den Tabakkonsum gekommen. Nach einer Untersuchung der Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufk lärung (BZgA) zufolge rauchen im Jahr 2005 21% aller männlichen und 19% aller weiblichen Jugendlichen (Alter: 12–17 Jahre) [1]. Das Durchschnittsalter, in dem zum ersten Mal regelmäßig geraucht wurde, wird zwischen dem 13. und 14. Lebensjahr angegeben. Laut aktueller Daten der WHO und der Europäischen Union liegt Deutschland bezüglich des Tabakkonsums im oberen Drittelund bei Tabak-Kontrollmaßnahmen im unterem Viertel der Staaten der EU [2].
