Abstract
In this section we examine the phenomenon of internal (structural) instability of compressible and incompressible bodies in the context of plane (plane strain) and three-dimensional problems. We shall mostly consider elastic and elastoplastic bodies, yet some aspects of investigation as applied to bodies with rheological properties will be discussed as well.
