Abstract
Let us consider stability criteria for elastic and elastoplastic bodies and bodies with rheological properties which correspond to the approved stability criteria for thin-walled structures. In so doing, we shall not draw criteria and apparatus of the theory of stability of motion regarding it as a separate field in the mechanics of systems with distributed parameters.
