Zusammenfassung

Mund- und Rachentherapeutika sind laut SGB V als Bagatellarzneimittel bis auf wenige Ausnahmen von der vertragsärztlichen Verordnung ausgeschlossen. Dieser Ausschluss gilt für verschreibungspflichtige wie auch für verschreibungsfreie Mittel. Seit Anfang 2004 sind laut Arzneimittelrichtlinien zusätzlich sämtliche verschreibungsfreie Mund- und Rachentherapeutika — ebenfalls abgesehen von wenigen Ausnahmen — nicht mehr zu Lasten der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung verordnungsfähig. Im Vergleich zum Vorjahr blieb 2007 das Gesamtvolumen an Verordnungen von Mund- und Rachentherapeutika zu Lasten der GKV auf niedrigem Niveau nahezu unverändert.
