Zusammenfassung

Triptane dominieren aufgrund ihrer gut belegten therapeutischen Wirksamkeit seit Jahren die Therapie akuter Migräneanfälle. Bei den Migränemitteln gehen mehr als 75% der verordneten Tagesdosen auf das Konto der Triptane. Seit Mitte 2006 stehen preisgünstige Sumatriptangenerika zur Verfügung, Wahrscheinlich stellt aus diesem Grund Sumatriptan wieder das gemessen in Tagesdosen mit Abstand am häufigsten verordnete Triptan dar. Allein an diesen Wirkstoff gehen fast 40% aller verordneten Triptantagesdosen.
