Das Management von unstrukturierten Daten ist noch immer eines der größeren unaufgeklärten Probleme der Speichertechnologien. Noch sind vermutlich ca. 80 Prozent der gespeicherten Daten unstrukturiert und entziehen sich so einem ökonomischen ILM-Prozess. Die zentrale Herausforderung der prozesskonformen Bereitstellung besteht jedoch für strukturierte und unstrukturierte Daten.
