  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Medical Radiology ((Med Radiol Radiat Oncol))

Abstract

Hemangiomas are slowly growing benign vascular neoplasms derived from the endothelium of vessels. Subtypes include those with an increase of capillaries (capillary hemangioma) and those associated with an enlargement of blood channels (cavernous hemangiomas) as well as those of mixed type [12, 25, 89, 102, 110].
