Zusammenfassung

Komplexverletzungen des Fußes, d. h. Frakturen auf mehr als einer funktionellen Ebene in Verbindung mit einem höhergradigen Weichteilschaden, stellen eine besondere Herausforderung für den behandelnden Chirurgen dar, zumal sie überdurchschnittlich häufig bei polytraumatisierten bzw. mehrfachverletzten Patienten auftreten. Kapitel 6 vermittelt Leitlinien für die Behandlung dieser schwierigen Verletzungen sowie Möglichkeiten der Rekonstruktion nach Komplextrauma. Entscheidungshilfen für die nicht unproblematische Entscheidung zu Amputation, Extremitätenerhalt und Replantation werden anhand der verfügbaren Literatur gegeben und die Amputationstechniken an Fuß und Sprunggelenk detailliert dargestellt.
