Zusammenfassung
Was versteht man unter Verhalten? Warum ist ein Verständnis der Mechanismen, der Entwicklung, Funktion und Evolution von Verhalten wichtig? Welchen Verlauf nahm die wissenschaftliche Erforschung des Verhaltens bislang und welche Ansätze haben sich dabei durchgesetzt? Wie kann man Verhalten überhaupt untersuchen und welche Methoden, Konzepte und Hilfsmittel kommen in der Verhaltensforschung zur Anwendung? Im Einführungskapitel werden diese Fragen besprochen, um so eine Grundlage für die inhaltliche Behandlung von Fragen, Konzepten und Fakten in den folgenden Kapiteln zu schaffen.
