eXtreme Chirped Pulse Amplification using Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers

Abstract

Implementing a method called “eXtreme Chirped Pulse Amplification”, we demonstrate an all-semiconductor high power mode-locked semiconductor laser system generating ∼1.4kW record peak power.
