Quasi phase matching of high harmonic generation in waveguides using counter-propagating beams

Abstract

We present the first demonstration of high harmonic flux enhancement (over an order of magnitude) using quasi-phase-matching by a counterpropagating pulse train. This was enabled by a waveguide geometry. We also demonstrate quantum path control.
