Abstract
Strategies are logical procedures to reach certain goals. Suitable strategies are prerequisites for the effective use of resources and often the simplest mean to improve efficiency and to reduce costs. In logistics, the conception of new strategies and the analysis of their effectiveness are as important as the development of new techniques and the design of new systems.
