In diesem Kapitel wird auf die Kompressionssyndrome der No. medianus, ulnaris und radialis eingegangen, die am häufi gsten eine Behandlung in der Ergotherapie erfordern. Kompressionssyndrome, vor allem diejenigen an Oberarm und Ellenbogen als auch diejenigen bei Amateursportlern, können zusätzlich eine Behandlung in der Physiotherapie (z.B. PNF) und/oder eine unterstützende physikalische Maßnahme (z.B. Elektrotherapie) benötigen. Entstehungsmechanismen von Kompressionssyndromen können ein aufeinander bezogenes Handeln auch in anderen entfernten Körperregionen erfordern.
