A Formal Model of Multi-agent Computations

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNTCS,volume 4967))

Abstract

The paper contains an extension of a formal model of multi-agent computing system developed in previous publications towards considering a more general system state. We provide also some deeper details of the model in the case of a homogeneous hardware environment. The model provides us with a precise definition of the optimal task scheduling together with results on the existence and characterization of optimal scheduling strategies.
