Abstract

Anharmonic oscillator models have played an important role in the evolution of many branches of quantum physics. In spite of their seeming simplicity it is not an easy problem to find the spectrum and eigenfunctions of an anharmonic interaction. There is a vast literature where different analytical and numerical methods are worked out to solve this problem (see, for example, [16]–[22]). From an other point of view the anharmonic potential is a good touchstone to test any new method.
