Abstract
We report the results of our HST-GHRS observations of the DA white dwarf G191-B2B aiming at deriving the interstellar D/H ratio. Our data suggest possible variations of the local interstellar D/H ratio and that a refined estimate of the D/H ratio toward α Aur (Linsky et al., 1993) might lie closer to 1.5x 10−5 than to 1.7x 10−5.
