Application of Genetic Algorithms in Power System Stabilizer Design

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNAI,volume 1611))

Abstract

The paper presents a new approach to design power system stabilizer via genetic algorithms. The optimum settings of the stabilizer parameters associated with se lected set of grid points in the active/reactive power domain, are computed offline by minimizing an objective function. A single machine infinite bus system is considered to demon strate the suggested technique.
