Abstract
Liouvillian dynamics provides a direct link between classical and quantum mechanics. It provides the language for a direct transcription of the recursion method from a quantum formulation to a classical formulation. At the same time, it is the basis of a particular representation of the recursion method, which we call the Liouvillian representation. A strikingly elegant and user-friendly formulation of this representation has resulted from Lee’s important developmental work [Lee 1982, 1983].
