Abstract
The four chalcopyrite semiconductors CuInSe2, CuGaSe2 and CuGaS2 belong to the I-III-VI2 group and are of technological importance as terrestrial photovoltaic and non-linear optical materials. Study of optical properties of polycrystalline bulk materials by conventional spectroscopic methods is rather difficult and cumbersome, especially for highly absorbing powder samples. Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) can be conveniently used to study optical and thermal properties of such compounds.
