Abstract
In Chap. 2 we regularized the motion near the nuclei using a canonical transformation linearizing that motion. Compared to that method, the regularization scheme employed in this chapter has several disadvantages: It leads to a reparametrization of time; it works only for a fixed value of the energy; and the configuration plane M is replaced by a surface M covering M with branch points.
