Abstract
Although heat production is associated with X-ray absorption, there have been few investigations into the photon energy dependence of them. The purpose of this paper is to present detailed experimental results concerning the X-ray photoacoustic signal for copper, phosphor bronze, and brass and to compare them with the usual X-ray absorption character at near Cu K-edge regions. The results suggest that the information in XANES(X-ray absorption near-edge structure) is also included in the heat production in those materials.
