Abstract
The new Inverse Photopyroelectric (IPPE) technique for thermal characterization of materials is presented. The theoretical principles are derived and a number of applications concerning the thermal properties evaluation of metals, food industry products, binary liquid mixtures, as well as the assessment of a sensor for monitoring the condensation of atmospheric water vapour are reported.
