Coherent Radiation for X-Ray Imaging: The Performance of the X1A Beamline at the NSLS

  • Conference paper
X-Ray Microscopy III

Abstract

An undulator based beamline was built and commissioned at the National Synchrotron Light Source to provide tuneable and coherent radiation for imaging in the 200–800 eV range. Due to the low emittance of the storage ring, the Soft X-ray Undulator produces a high brightness soft x-ray beam. The beamline uses a spherical grating monochromator with two exit slits to deliver the first and second undulator harmonics to two experiments simultaneously.
