Abstract

Laparoscopic (transperitoneal) radical prostatectomy (LRPE) and endoscopic extraperitoneal radical prostatectomy (EERPE) have been recognised as the standard, first-line therapeutic procedure for the management of localised prostate cancer, especially at experienced centres [1–12]. One of the main quality criteria of a procedure, besides oncological outcome and functional results, is the complication rate.
