Abstract

Oscillations are called natural,or free,if they are executed in systems free from energy sources, i.e., in conservative or in passive dissipative systems. In addition, oscillations executed in systems with slowly time-varying parameters we call natural too. In principle, such systems contain energy sources but these sources are not responsible for the excitation of oscillations.
