Abstract

This is a brief summary of review talks given at the Valencia Summer School on Data Analysis in Cosmology and the 2005 UK National Astronomical Meeting. We describe the following examples: galaxy classification with principle component analysis, photometric redshift estimation with artificial neural networks and multi-parameter estimation with Markov chain Monte Carlo in a Bayesian framework.
