Abstract
For every business, managing the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) stipulated with its customers is a crucial activity. Failing to meet an SLA may lead to contractual penalties and in loss of revenues generated by customers resorting to other providers to obtain the services they need. In this paper we present a framework and an infrastructure for intelligent SLA management, applicable when services are delivered as Web services. The goal of the platform is that of assisting service providers in monitoring SLA violations, in predicting SLA violations before they occur so to try corrective actions, and in analyzing SLA violations to understand their causes and therefore help identify how to improve operations to meet the SLA.
