Abstract
As the final investigation in this book, we examine in what sense the topological properties of h + carry over to the approximation h FF . We need only concentrate on local minima and the maximal exit distance: h + and h FF have the value ∞ in exactly the same cases, c.f. Proposition 4.0.2, so the behavior with respect to dead ends is provably identical.
