Abstract
XSDM’03 (XML Schema and Data Management) was the first International workshop held in conjunction with 22nd International Conference on Conceptual Modeling on 13th October in Chicago, USA. Web data management systems are rapidly being influenced by XML technologies and are driven by their growth and proliferation to create next generation web information systems. The purpose of XSDM workshop is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, and experiences among the theoretical and practitioners of XML technologies, who are involved in design, management and implementation of XML based web information systems.
