Ozone and Water Vapor Monitoring Using a Ground-Based Lidar System

  • Chapter
Optical and Laser Remote Sensing

Part of the book series: Springer Series in Optical Sciences ((SSOS,volume 39))

Abstract

Lidar measurements of ozone and water vapor concentrations were performed during several field experiments in 1980–1981 by means of the differential absorption laser technique. Profiles up to 30km for ozone and up to 9km for water vapor were obtained on a routine basis. Experiments were conducted at the Haute Provence Observatory which is located in southern France (44°N, 5°E).
