Abstract

Spectra of microscopic objects play an important role, for instance, in material, science and the technology of optical and electronic devices. Here, OAS complements the potentials of conventional methods of microscopy (optical acoustic, electronic, etc.) and in some cases it enables us to obtain quite new information about the microstructure of various media. In this chapter, we consider the principles of laser OA microspectroscopy and the results of the first such experiments.
