Zusammenfassung
Amputationen an der oberen Extremität sind 10- bis 20-mal seltener als an der unteren Extremität. Sie können in ca. 75% Folge eines schweren Traumas sein, seltene Ursachen sind arterosklerotische Minderperfusion, kongenitale Deformität oder maligne Tumorerkrankung. Die funktionelle Rehabilitation ist das oberste Ziel. Für den Chirurgen ist es von äußerster Wichtigkeit, die berufliche, soziale und persönliche Situation des Patienten zu kennen, um eine individuelle Lösung zu finden.
