Ist G offene Teilmenge von ℝn, so heißt eine Abbildung f: G → ℝk differenzierbar, wenn die partiellen Ableitungen beliebiger Ordnung aller Komponentenfunktionen existieren und stetig sind. “Differenzierbar” steht also immer synonym für “C∞”.
