Abstract
LHCb is a dedicated B-physics experiment at the LHC. The experiment is currently under construction, to be ready for first collisions in 2007. The motivation for a future B-physics experiment is touched upon, followed by a discussion of the current status of the detector components, and an overview of the expected performance.
