Abstract
Multimedia is in common use nowadays. However it is just a collection of multiple media which include text, picture, video, and audio, and they are not really integrated. In this paper, we present a notion of UniversalMedia. It is not just text, or picture, or video, or audio. Rather it is an all-in-one active object. In addition, some trials the author has carried out as a step toward realization of such active media are explained.
