Abstract
Scalability and flexibility are key issues in the design of modeling and simulation infrastructure. In this paper, an infrastructure (called DMSE) which is dedicated to support various scalability and flexibility of modeling and simulation applications. An approach which would establish various virtual networks on the DMSE is presented. The purpose of the DMSE is to support various target networks in a common infrastructure. With help of the DBMS, the monitoring and management of the infrastructure create dynamic data in the node and view points. Thus, the infrastructure helps users to flexibly model and simulate various networks, dynamically deploy service and protocol to the node, and arbitrarily monitor and manage data from nodes.
