Abstract
Designing the structure of an enterprise is a task which is of strategic dimension because of its long-term and fundamental effects. Therefore, considerations about the basic design of structures and systems are focal points in strategic management.69 Strategic management is intended to derive planning, control, and coordination of business development with an holistic view.70 It is not the reactive adaptation to environmental changes that is regarded as being the contents of business development, but the procactive design of external environmental relations and the internal configuration of the enterprise (organizational structure and corporate culture).
