Abstract
Retailers and manufacturers are currently undergoing major changes within their supply chains. Increasing competition, complex distribution channels, shortening Product-Life-Cycles and changing consumer patterns are challenging the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry. Therefore companies must ensure that they are both flexible and agile enough to adjust to changing conditions.
