Abstract
In this chapter we present the first illustration of our general solution described in Chapter 3. The goal is to provide flow protection, which is one of the most desirable enhancements of today’s best-effort service. If deployed, flow protection would allow diverse end-to-end congestion control schemes to seamlessly coexist in the Internet, and protect well behaved traffic against malicious or ill-behaved traffic.
