Distributed Information Management System for Grid Computing

Abstract

In this paper, a simple and dynamic information management system (IMS) is proposed for resource sharing in distributed systems. The IMS monitors computers’ availability and some particular information of the resources, for such information is important for building applications that utilize the resources in the system. The IMS is constructed based on Globus and RTI, which are the most popular solutions for Grid computing. This paper discusses the IMS’s architecture, and gives the implement method and a pattern of resource class hierarchy.
