Zusammenfassung
Die Frage, wie sich gemeinnützige Organisationen und Aktivitäten bewerten lassen, stellt sich für Soziale Investoren wie Non-Profit-Organisationen, Sozialunternehmen, Stiftungen, Spender und Ehrenamtliche aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven. Fördernde Organisationen wie Stiftungen wollen genau wie individuelle Spender begründete Vergabeentscheidungen treffen. Non-Profit-Organisationen und Sozialunternehmen haben ein Interesse gegenüber der Öffentlichkeit und ihren Förderern bzw. Anteilseignern, Rechenschaft abzulegen. Insgesamt konstatieren wir einen Trend zu Transparenz, Rechenschaftslegung und Wirkungsbestimmung im gemeinnützigen Sektor (Abschn. 1). Gleichwohl ist die Aufgabenstellung hier nicht einfach, denn die Bewertung gemeinnütziger Organisationen und Aktivitäten sieht sich mit einer Reihe grundsätzlicher Schwierigkeiten konfrontiert (Abschn. 2).
