Zusammenfassung

Ausgehend vom transaktionalen Stressansatz (Lazarus & Folkman, 1984) bildet die Untersuchung von Bewältigungsmustern („Coping“) seit mehreren Jahrzehnten einen Schwerpunkt der Stressforschung. In den letzten Jahren sind Fragestellungen zum Zusammenspiel von Kultur und Coping in den Fokus gerückt, doch fehlt der kulturbezogenen Stressbewältigungsforschung bisher ein übergeordneter theoretischer Rahmen (vgl. Chun, Moos & Cronite, 2006; Hobfoll, 1998; Kuo, 2010).
