Skizzen zu einer soziologischen Integration von Emotions- und Handlungstheorie

Zusammenfassung

In den folgenden Ausführungen befassen wir uns mit dem Verhältnis von Fühlen und Handeln, von Emotionen und Handlungen. Wir beziehen also zwei Theoriekomplexe aufeinander, Emotionstheorien und Handlungstheorien, und stellen damit Verbindungen zwischen zwei Bereichen her, die nur wenig in Kontakt zueinander treten. Emotionstheorien befassen sich nur am Rande mit Handlungen. Die Frage, welche Konsequenzen und Implikationen ein bestimmtes Fühlen für ein Handeln haben, wird nur selten gestellt. Dabei dürfte die Vermutung eine gewisse Anfangsplausibilität für sich beanspruchen, dass es ein Fühlen gerade deshalb gibt, weil es zu einem Handeln, vielleicht sogar zu einem veränderten Handeln führt, ja mehr noch, dass ein Fühlen sich nur in einem bestimmten Handeln zeigt und deshalb zwischen beiden nur in einer analytischen Weise zu trennen ist. Auch Fühlen ist ein ›Doing‹. Und umgekehrt gilt auch, dass Handlungstheorien, gerade auch soziologische Handlungstheorien, sich nur selten in einer elaborierten und theoretisch begründeten Weise auf Emotionen beziehen.
