Emotionen und Geschlecht – wendet man sich diesem Thema innerhalb der Emotionssoziologie zu, so fällt es einem nicht leicht, einen Klassiker oder eine Klassikerin dieser Thematik zu identifizieren. Die gängigen Einführungs- und Überblickswerke liefern keinen Eintrag dazu (vgl. u. a. Flam 2002; Schützeichel 2006; Turner/ Stets 2005) und einzelne Aufsätze fokussieren einzelne Gefühle wie die Liebe und deren Rolle innerhalb von Paarbeziehungen (vgl. für viele Burkhart/ Koppetsch 2002).
