Zusammenfassung
Der folgende Beitrag der Europäischen Journalisten-Föderation, der regionalen Gruppe der Internationalen Journalisten-Föderation, die etwa 260.000 Journalisten in Europa repräsentiert, erörtert die Reaktionen der europäischen Journalistenorganisationen sowie ihre strategischen Ansätze angesichts der aktuellen Medienkrise, die Rundfunk, Printmedien und Online-Dienste betrifft. Auf der diesjährigen Jahrestagung diskutierte die EJF Möglichkeiten zum Umgang mit den enormen Veränderungen, die im Mediensektor stattfinden, sowie Methoden zur Wahrung eines Qualitätsjournalismus. Sie nahm die so genannte Varna- Deklaration „Journalismus an der Spitze des Wandels“ an, die im Folgenden erläutert wird.
