Zusammenfassung
Simulationen sind aus der Nachhaltigkeitsdiskussion kaum mehr wegzudenken. Dies zeigen so prominente Beispiele wie das Weltmodell von Meadows (1972) über die Grenzen des Wachstums oder die Klimaszenarien des Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC 2007). In diesen eher naturwissenschaftlich-physikalisch ausgerichteten Simulationen wird menschliches Verhalten als Wirkungsfaktor mehr oder weniger explizit integriert. Gerade wenn es um die aktive Gestaltung einer nachhaltigeren Entwicklung geht, ist der Faktor Mensch jedoch auch als handelndes Subjekt angesprochen und gefordert.
